Call Dr Immediately if there is an increase in agitation, irritability, hostility, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation (but Dr Butler told you go to ER immediately) , panic attack, aggression,“dangerous behavior”, problems with coordination, trouble walking, forgetting how to walk, eat You may experience an inability to stop talking, drowsiness, dry mouth, lightheaded, dizziness, (drop in blood pressure), blurred vision, headache that is severe and sensitive to sound and light, tiredness, nausea, (vomitting in extreme cases)weight loss then weight gain, nasal congestion, muscle pain or cramping. Sudden drop in sodium level could lead to headache, dizziness, weakness, feeling “faint”. Eat carbs or peanut butter. DO NOT STOP TAKING SUDDENLY WITHOUT DR BUTLER’S SUPERVISION Take at bedtime, light snack or empty stomach TAKE EVERY 24 HOURS, AS CLOSE TO EXACTLY 10pm ****MISSED DOSE**** DO NOT Take a double dose, the the missed dose only if recognized in 1-2 hours. after 3 hours, skip dose and restart normally with next dose. Affects Serotonin by allowing more and better REM sleep. Do not take with things that make you sleepy, drowsy, etc (last alcohol 3 hours before - at 7pm). Do not take with MAOI’s SSRIs (selective serotonin uptake inhibitors) SNRIs (serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors ) triptans (migraines)(you aren’t taking any), Do not take with Tryptophan supplements or foods - (amino acid in turkey that makes you sleepy, so no turkey also found in Soy products, and in shellfish also is L-Tryptophan supplements and homepathic remedies for sleep induction) Do not take aspirin (lowers blood pressure) PRIAPISM- 6 hour hard on, go to ER. DO NOT WAIT, JUST GO TO ER

In animals, Trazodone selectively inhibits serotonin uptake by brain synaptosomes and potentiates the behavioral changes induced by the serotonin precursor, 5-hydroxytryptophan. Cardiac conduction effects of Trazodone in the anesthetized dog are qualitatively dissimilar and quantitatively less pronounced than those seen with tricyclic antidepressants. Trazodone is not a monoamine oxidase inhibitor and, unlike amphetamine-type drugs, does not stimulate the central nervous system. Animal Oral LD50: The oral LD50 of the drug is 610 mg/kg in mice, 486 mg/kg in rats, 560 mg/kg in rabbits and cats, 610 mg/kg in dogs
Do not take with diuretics including caffiene
