#OWS and the Tea Party
I am really intrigued by the idea of people who were involved in the Tea Party standing in solidarity with the Occupy Wall Street people. The two movements have some things in common and yet many differences. In some way, though, the differences seem to be able to be summed up with an old Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup advertisement: “your peanut butter is on my chocolate” … “Your chocolate is in my peanut butter”. The OWS folks think that business is too much involved with government, the Tea Party says that government meddles too much in business.
Now the OWS movement has some martyrs,
including a Marine Veteran who was hit by rubber bullets and required
surgery in Oakland California. Where is this going?
