What do I do?
Once in a while, I get asked what it is that I do. I work for
RedPrairie, which is mentioned in this article: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122100270555417001.html
My job is to install and support (from a tier-3 perspective) the
software they mention in this article. Basically tier-3 is when the
problem seems to be some sort of interaction with the operating system,
database, etc. I got this link from my boss, one of those “our company
in the news” type of posts. Reading this article, I find myself thinking
hard about what I do, and what I am spending my life creating. Not
necessarily a good feeling.
