Want to Defend the Constitution? Ask me how.

Want to Defend the Constitution? Ask me how.

I don’t usually play “call your congress critter” games, but this is important. Tomorrow, July 8th, the senate will debate and possibly vote to grant retroactive immunity to the telecoms for particpating in the current administration’s warrantless surveillance. If you don’t know what this means, it means that all of your communicaitons - phone, fax, email, even the websites you visit - could be gathered and data mined for whatever content they wish, for whatever reason, with no judicial oversight. Want to live as if under a king? this will do that if passed. In the USA we do not live in a feudal society, and nobody, not even the president, is above the law.
What Every American Needs to Know (and Do) About FISA Before Tuesday, July 8th from Tim Ferriss on Vimeo. to get your own congress-critter’s contact information, you can go the Electronic Freedom Foundation’s website at https://secure.eff.org/site/Advocacy?alertId=389&pg=makeACall I have called both of my senatorial congress critters, and I urge you to do the same.
