I just got this in my mail, United, the airline which does much of the business inand out of Denver metro, has followed others in the airline industry by instituting a charge for a first checked bag of $15, unless you are flying first or business class. Second bag costs $25.
Given that is the only way i can get some of my gear to go with me, my Leatherman is the standout requirement. Don’t make me go somewhere without my leatherman!
When does it start to make more sense to fedex your clothes to and from. But I guess when you can’t bump up your fares in accordance to your increases in fairly nonnegotiable costs like fuel per flight, it’s all they can do to make a few bucks more.
But you know, if somehow energy suddenly becomes not such a big deal, they’re not gonna repeal these fees.
