mom still in hospital
she got 3 units of blood, some unspecified infection, hoping to get out today. and three more weeks until she gets chemo again.
I visited my friend who just had a baby 3 weeks ago, and works as a nurse. (when she was rushed into the hospital for an emergency c-section, she knew the doctor by first name). She told me that folks have (she thought) 14 units of blood total.
The other thing she told me was that if it came down to it for her, she’d proly not do the chemo (cant remember if she said at all or more than once) because the quality of life with the chemo just isn’t that good, if you’re gonna go… go.
She’s hoping to get out of the hospital today.
