about that new job….
today is my last day as a production support monkey for storeperform. I am moving into a position with the parent company, redprairie, which will transform me into a real road warrior, on the road up to 70% of the time. I’m simultaneously excited and scared to the core about this. In a way, it’s a dream come true, a mega sagitarrian gets to travel the country on someone else’s dime.
I had an serendipitous IM meeting today with Kerry Greene, the Shakerman (www.shakerman.com) and he was envious of my new position 0 the opportunity to attend drumcircles all over the place. Maybe this is the impetus I needed to really build the ultimate directory of drumcircles all over the world, a project i started in 1995 or so. of course, nowadays there are probably dozens of drumcircle websites listing scheduled events, and they all have their own unique take on them. Happy Shel’s all into African drumming, there are others which have various kinds of specialties like men’s drumming, women’s drumming, Florida drumming, etc.
I bought drumcircle.org for this way back when, then lost it, but i have it back now but havent set up the hosting for it yet, but during the time i have had it back, i haven’t done much with it.
My life’s gonna change, I hope I’m ready.
