I don’t mean to be a bleedin’ heart liberal…

but i got a question about expectations.

If you would, please tell me what kind of things you expect when someone says “i don’t mean to be _______” - don’t you expect exactly that which was in the ________

I really wanna know, does a disclaimer like that ever work or does it just warn you of what you’re about to get?
