- rememberthemilk.com I am beginning to play with a new organizational paradigm called “getting things done fast, by David Allen. I’m sure these articles can say more about him than i want to type.. the dude, the method, and s little more. SO rememberthemilk.com is a free site that implemnts something like the system he describes. Actually this seems to be a pretty good alternative to outlook/exchange as far as i can tell. There are interesting hooks, for instance i’ll have the chance to rue the day that i allowed my time management to find me in AOL IM.
- things are going well at home Our new counselor for the last few months, Neil Cannon, has done a good job of allowing us to brige some gaps, come to some agreements. I feel more hopeful than I have in a long time.
but it still feels fragile sometimes. * work sucks remember that promotion? well.. hahahahah.. seems it’s caught in some kind of corporate urination competition, the budget for a local IT resource is apparently not a done deal. Will I contine tu stand for this? we’ll see.
my mom’s ok My mom’s chemo worked out well, she’s allegedly starting to grow hair back, and the last of her old har fell out. , so i guess no mo “pig pen” look. SHe’s getting MRI’s every 6 months now (down from every 3) and they’ve come back ok so far. Of course, nobody’s immortal, but for a little longer, my parents are.
grandkids rock I got to hang out in SLC with Michelle’s family, including the grandkids. getting to play with grankids is pretty cool, esp[ecialy when they say things like “i love you grampa bob”.
winter sucks I didnt grow up here in colorado, but i have been here since 1994 and the winters have been predictable. snow happens, snow melts, winter moves on, but the snow doesn’t outlive its welcome.
til last year and seemingly this year. I’ve been looking at the same snow in my yard for 2-3 weeks and i have less than those in the city. but it’s more like a Michigan winter. Not sure what i think about all that.
