We’re going to Michigan at the end of the month (7/27-7/4) to visit mom. Well, that was the original intent, anyways. From all accounts, Mom’s not gonna be in much of a mood for visitors a week after her first chemo, so I’m looking at what else have I wanted to do in Michigan but never had time.
One thing we’re planning is to visit some relatives up in Bay City, but I’m also thinking of going a bit further and visiting the summer camp that I worked at when i was 17-19 yrs old. I just got off the phone with someone from there. if you want to see pictures of the place, it’s called Camp Nissokone (not too much on google that isn’t related)
My experiences at this YMCA camp set up a lot of who i am. My 2-week sessions at this camp were my first experiences on my own, not staying with family but rather with a bunch of strangers.
So yeah, going to visit Michigan.
