Friday night, Missy came out for dinner and massage exchange. I’ve been supposed to be learning massage from her for a really long time, but we just never hooked up to actually do anything about it. That’s gonna change now.
During my massage to Missie, I got the first of what I would consider objective result from my laying-on-hands healing. She’d had some issues with her shoulder, and after I held it for a while, it got all red and warm. (considered later that I should have taken a picture.. that’s objective, right?) This effect was still there the following evening to a lesser extent.
The coolest part of that is that Missy knows a little about the effect, having studied a techinque that works like that years ago. WOOHOO!!! Finally I don’t have to be completely experiemental about it.
Saturday I saw Pan’s Labyrinth with Michelle, then we rode around in the mountains for the afternoon. In the evening, I went to the drumming at SpiritWays. I was greeted warmly by many people I didn’t know and by friends; it had a little bit of the feel of being a rockstar. I’m not accustomed to that.
When I got there, I just sat in the middle of the circle with my shekere and quietly held the pulse. Closing my eyes, a wave of emotional release happened; there were tears running down my face for some time. I moved closer in to the circle, and every time I saw someone else I hadn’t been around since last october, I had another smaller wave of it. I was very glad that I kepy my resolve to go to this circle - I needed it badly.
Yesterday had breakfast with Michelle and Marie, and Marie and I spent some time driving around and talking. It was nice to just hang.
What I got out of all of this is that I need to spend more time around my friends. I hear they’ve missed me, and I’ve surely missed them, as well.
