It was the damnedst thing..

some who read this journal might remember how the electriccal wiring in our house went strange a month or two ago. We’d isolated it to just a few circuits, and decided that, while inconvenient, we could work without them. We’d call in an electrician, just not yet. Well that went on that way for a while. We had finally called the landlord to tell him we needed someone to look into this, but nobody’d been out yet. On Saturday, we had a power outage. No power. That happens, we hung out for an hour or so, then called the power company. They ensured us that there weren’t any outages, that we should check our breakers/fuses cuz it’d cost $60 for them to come out and do nothing. We we pretty sure it wasn’t a breaker: the garage, house, everything was out. Nobody ever made it to the house, but suddenly we had power. Not just to the places thhat worked before, but to the whole house. The circuits that had had problems before were working now. Oven? working! Dryer? Working!! At the same time? YES!!! So the worries about the longevity of this house are somewhat misplaced, the only crisis looming over my house now is a bad septic field. Oh yeah, and they’re gonna build a subdivision next to my driveway.
