more updates on stuff..

I will have my ankle surgery next Tuesday, 7/18. I’ll be out of work the next two days, most likely wacked out on percocet or percodan. So I have this week to crutch-proof my house.

I just got yet another reprieve from getting laid off. My termination date will now be 9/30, with severance until 10/15. If we get That Major Customer transitioned sooner, they might let me go before then, but will pay me until 10/15 either way. Of course, if I get a new job and quit before 9/30, then there’ll be no severance, it’ll be just as if I quit (no severance). There’s a possibility that I could work my way towards being a sysadmin for pilot systems, but that’s little more than a hope now. But we’ve bought some time to get there.
