67 days of Frank Zappa
I’ve
recently come into possession of what is possibly the most complete
representation of the Frank Zappa musical repertoire that I have ever
seen. It has 67 albums, but it seems to be missing a number or two. I
haven’t quite figured out if that is because one of the albums is a
double album (Zappa did release quite a number of two-disk albums). So
my plan is to listen to one of these albums each day, read what I can
find about the album of the day, and comment on it here on my
livejournal. Most of these albums will not be new to me, so there’ll be
cases where I will link back to things that were going on in my life
when i heard a particular album. This will by no means be anything like
an objective review of Frank Zappa’s contribution to reorded music
history, but it’ll be fun, anyways. For a couple weeks, at least..
