Got my nose carved up today..
So I had a Mohs procedure today on my nose. Me and about a half dozen others who were having some kind of facial skin cancer removal.
The drill on a Mohs procedure is that they cut you up, then they examine what they got under a microscope to determine whether they got it right away, while you cool your heels in a waiting room or an examination room or something. I brought a laptop and updated my ipod with archived music that i hadn’t listened to much since i got it, in some cases two years ago.
They did a “flap” when they stitched me up. No graft, it’ll have an inverted v shaped scar that is supposed to hide in the natural smile creases in my nose.
I’m ok now, but my nose itches like crazy and i have this big wad of cotton gauze stuck to my nose in a place that i can’t not see it.
