10 years ago: Lived in Colorado Springs. Worked for SSDS at Peterson AFB. I had just met Amy in person. Was still in the process of divorcing Jewels. Let Julie move in. I spent much of my day on IRC, both at work and at home. I still had that black Nissan pickup. I went to Dragonfest for the first time about now, 10 yrs ago. I was drumming again. I think I’d started collecting drumcircle information but hadn’t gotten the drumcircle.org domain yet.
5 years ago: Riding high on dotcom-era wages, I was hanging out with a bunch of kids who liked to play techno records really loud out in the middle of nowhere. I prolly went throgh a couple contracts that year. I prolly took more drugs this year than any other year, and in a greater variety than ever. I drove Amy’s Honda Passport around a lot.
1 year ago: I was working at supersign, broke all the time. Michelle was just about to be laid off by promotech. we had the biggest drumcircle of the season this month.
yesterday: I put the database-driven calendar up in a production place on www.drumcircle.org. Need to do a bunch of coding.
tomorrow: Get a new radiator installed in the car and sleep at home for the first time since monday

5 things I would do with $100,000,000: start a foundation that taught drumming to kids, create a place where meetings or festivals could be held, build a big old geeked out bus that I could live on the road in, go on a world tour, buy a boat

5 bad habits I have: chew my nails if they grow more than 1/16 out, promise big but often late or under-delivered, procrastinate (maybe the same thing), smoke too much, slob

5 things I will never wear (or wear again): bell bottoms, bandannas worn as a headband, italian dress shoes, purple suit, speedo-type bathing suits

5 biggest joys at the moment: i can walk, my neck moves around the way it’s supposed to most of the time, i have a job i like making decent money, i have the love and support of a global drumming community, I have a lovely wife who I love and loves me back.
