Members of the cult have ways of recognizing each other. Its a “heads know heads” kind of phenomenon..
a theory: part of the recognition is other ppl get agitated at about the same time that you do…
if one member approaches another member on any city street and asks for a cigarette, he will be given one.
If, on the other hand the asked one has only one cigarette left, he will offer it, but the querent will decline to take another’s last cigarette.
