Born in Port Huron, his dad was a JC Penney store manager. His mom lived in Philadelphia and John always seemed to have a somewhat eastern accent. He had a girlfriend named Karen. He moved to Philadelphia to follow him. He ended up being a deadhead, living and traveling in a vw microbus on the Grateful Dead tour. He ended up living in Berkeley, CA where i visited him in 1989. His journeys also led him to a time on Orcas Island.

He eventually married a lady named Gina, who was a special education teacher. They divorced while Joanne Heidenberger and I were together.

How did we meet

We were in english composition class together the last semester of high school. John was into acid and told stories of his acid experiences. I lent him Tubular Bells and he really dug it.
