I often wondered why Frank Zappa would do a cover version of the Allman Brothers classic song Whipping Post. In this episode, I take a look at the original song and how a fan’s request at a 1974 Zappa concert in Helsinki led to Zappa doing a killer cover version with his 1981 touring band.
