I’ve loved Mike Oldfield’s Songs of Distant Earth ever since I was a kid. There’s something about these tracks—“Let There Be Light,” “Supernova,” and “Magellan”—that always made me feel hopeful about what humanity can achieve.

Today, I’m sharing my own piano rendition, keeping it simple but filled with the same sense of wonder I’ve felt for years. I hope these notes remind you, even just for a moment, of the strength and beauty we can find in ourselves and each other.
