Mom's Casserole Mac and Cheese
Obligatory ramble: Mom used to make this, often on a Friday because she soft-respected the no meat on Friday thing most of the year. It was simple and yummy. For some reason I remember there being some butter but I might have it wrong. The cruncy bits on top were prized.
Ingredients:
- Elbow macaroni
- Colby, Cheddar or sharp cheddar cheese
- Milk
- Salt
- Pepper
Directions
Cool pasta al dente
Shred cheese
Mix together in an oven-safe glass dish, add milk, salt and pepper
Put in oven 350 degrees uncovered. When the macarone starts to turn brown you’re done.
The crunchies on top were always the best part
