Mushroom Tea
A mushroom tea for microdosing or larger doses.
Single batch:
6 oz hot water 6 g dried fruits 1 shot 100 Proof Vodka 1 shot Lemon or Lime Juice Grated fresh ginger (optional)
Triple batch:
18 oz hot water 18 g dried fruits 3 shots 100 Proof Vodka 3 shots Lemon or Lime Juice Grated fresh ginger (optional)
Directions
Powder the dried fruits. An Oster blender base can have a narrow-mouth jar screwed onto it. Pulse the blender a few times until it’s a consistent powder like wood ashes.
Boil the water.
Put the dried powder into an insulated vacuum container. Add the vodka, then water, then lemon/lime juice. Shake gently.
Let it soak for several hours to overnight, swirling occasionally.
Strain it through a fine mesh. A clean bandanna works well because you can squeeze out the most liquid. You can strain the result through coffee filters, but try to avoid getting the sediment as much as possible because it can clog the filter.
Put the resulting tea in a clearly labeled bottle in the refrigerator, can last for several weeks, or even longer.
Making a larger batch lends itself to microdosing because you will get a consistent dosage each time provided you measure it. Each batch will have a different strength. Test each new batch starting with a small amount to get the desired effect or non-effect. Microdosing should be low enough that you don’t feel high. Depending on the strain, you might start with half of a shot, or even measuring with an eye dropper for some of the stronger strains like APE.
