Facebook is such a messed up place. We exist there by the grace of the whims of a narcissistic asshole

I guess we’re doing numbered lists…

  1. I know perfectly well how all of this works. I’ve beeen on the internet as a posting person for almost if not longer than you have been alive. You’d have to be in your mid-40s for this statement to be incorrect.
  2. I guess rage bait only wants rage bait responses, not something that reasonably addresses the topic at hand. Fact of the matter is I have lost track of people who were friends in contexts that have changed or no longer exist and it makes me sad. They’ve either dropped of f of facebook, or changed their names several times and I didn’t see the change or if they haven’t dropped off, have simply stopped postin
  1. It’s pretty easy to tell it’s you not because I remember your name but because many if not most of your posts have your picture as the main topic. Kind of the back of a Frank Zappa album. Fact of the matter, unless I see you every day, sometimes I do forget names. I had several days where i couldn’t remember the name of an actor’s character in a movie for several days. Bugged the shit out of me (blame my ADHD). I ended up googling “millennium falcon dude who shot first” and got my answer. Shame that google doesn’t have the names of my cousins or which of my mom’s 7 siblings they were kids of that I could look up.
  2. Facebook doesn’t show all of anything to any given person. I don’t see everything that posts on any of the lists you run. I don’t see p osts from my friends announcing an event that I am one of the core members of, or i don’t read the link until 4 days after the event has p assed. Facebook also has this nasty habit of refreshing an article I am in the middle of reading when I go to another tab, or click on a l ink in the article, and when I go back to the facebook tab, it refreshes before I have a chance to finish reading the article. Facebook is worth every penny I spend on it.
