In the old days, “creators” who wanted to work on their art had patrons, often a person of Some Status who liked their work. We don’t have those so much any more. For a while, record companies and book publishing companies filled in, but at the cost of losing much of the revenue off the top.

Today we have figured out how to crowd source that. For a dollar a month, you can help an artist, writer, generally good person doing good things in the world, do what they do without having to compromise their time and efforts. I’ve seen them, I’ve wondered about them, I decided it’s time to put mine out there.

I’ve been meaning to do this for some time, but decided today it was time to complete the process. It turned out the main thing I was missing was a profile picture. Not letting the good get in the way of the perfect, I did that, made a short first post and I guess it’s time to put it out there.
