clean yellow headlights with toothpaste
Saw a youtube short that suggested using toothpaste to clean yellow headlights with toothpaste. It seems to work, it took seconds. You don’t need much toothpaste. I just used a dab on the first one but I didn’t take a before and after picture of that one. (always take a before before you try stuff like this because you might want to post it on your blog or something).
Addendum: after I did this, I ended up reading the comments to the video. The video was one of those “This guy is a genius, check out these hacks” and I figured out today that before you do the things, read the comments. In the comments, folks were debunking several of the things, including the toothpaste on the headlight thing. One said that toothpaste will leave a film and mess up your lights. If you just use baking soda, it works just as well. Noted.
I took extra care to wash and wipe the stuff off the headlights to be sure there wasn’t anything left and when I was driving down a dark street this evening, I could definitely notice my lights were much brighter than they have been.
